About the Producer
Michael DiJuan McNeil was born in Lancaster, PA, and raised in Beaufort, SC. He is a graduate of Battery Creek High School and the Academy of Career Excellence, where he received his state cosmetology license. Michael worked as a hairstylist for 3 years and a nail tech for 15 years. Always having a drive for business, Michael opened a residential and commercial cleaning company and maintained it for seven years. After realizing cleaning wasn’t his passion, Michael pursued acting. In 2017, Michael began studying the craft and business of acting in Atlanta and New York. He traveled from South Carolina to Atlanta and New York once a month for an entire year attending classes, workshops, and auditions. Michael signed with his first agent in Atlanta and with another in New York shortly thereafter. His first production was High Maintenance, which he wrote and produced.
In 2020, Michael took an interest in organic hair products. While still in New York, he started doing research on the natural skin and hair industry. Returning home, due to COVID-19, was the perfect opportunity to focus on that. Shortly after the national shutdown, Insentials By DiJano was born. Michael now focuses on making organic candles. The skin products and sea moss will return at a later date. These products were sold in his hometown of Beaufort at Penn Center’s Visitor Center and The Beaufort Visitor Center and Brighter Day in Savannah, GA.
During this time, Michael managed to produce a virtual improv show called SAY YES Improv and performed in the New York Off-Broadway musical Life Insurance. Michael also starred in leading roles for the Savannah, GA production of the short film Stolen Promise and two immersive theater projects, Savannah Underground and Dinner Detective. Taking his career to the next level and seeing the need for more entertainment in Beaufort sparked the Play And Eat Dinner Theater, which started in 2022. This is Beaufort’s first black-owned dinner theater. It was held in the heart of downtown at the Black Chamber of Commerce. In 2023, the Play And Eat Dinner Theater went on tour from Beaufort, SC, to Savannah, GA, and then to Atlanta, GA. Now, Dunwoody, Atlanta, is the home for Play And Eat Dinner Theater.
In 2023, Michael booked "Trans Me Reloaded," which you can watch on Tubi, and in 2024, "Not Another Church Movie," available on Amazon Prime and other platforms. Since then, Michael has become a licensed realtor in SC and GA and opened Gullah Drip & Roasters, where he is the Master Roaster.
